Two Finishes!! Actually three, I started AND finished one!

I've stitched a lot this week. First, I finished the last bit of my Last Ripe Berries by Blackbird Designs.  I didn't do the lazy daisy butterfly accents, but I love it.

Then, I finished my Flea Market Flowers by Lori Holt. I loved this stitch. The colors are so pretty.

Finally, I started AND finished, Stitch Together by The Tiny Modernist. This one was SO pretty, I couldn't wait to do it. It's stitched on 32-count Vintage Stormy Night Lugana, using DMC. It looks so good on this color.

Winter Cross Stitch Camp

Sheri,  The Colorado Cross Stitcher is having cross stitch camp again this winter. She had a three month summer camp with three different challenges.

The challenge for Winter camp is to do a one-color project. To participate, I picked a smallish sampler, and am stitching it with just one color of thread. There are lots of charts that are charted for one color; mine is not, but will be fine with one color. I had to post my chart/thread/linen on Instagram with the hashtag wintercrossstitchcamp
and tag @coloradocrossstitcher so she will know, and then at the end of the month, hopefully I will be able to post a "finish" picture (just the stitching, doesn't have to be a full finished object) and be eligible for a drawing. I missed out on the summer ones, so I'm excited to do this one.

My choice of chart is Mary Anne March, by Kathy Barrick. You can click on the name of the chart to get it, or click on her name to get to her Etsy shop.

I am using Classic Colorworks Hickory Sticks and a piece of 32 ct Wichelt antique white linen from my stash.

I'll post progress throughout the month.

Flashback Friday

We've moved several times in the last 4 years, after living in the same house for 35 years. We are finally settled into a permanent home, and while going through a packed-up box of cross stitch items, I came across a gem I stitched sometime in the mid-'80s.

It is a Dimensions kit, #3527 "Americana Still Life- Charles Wysocki, from 1982

I hadn't realized I had done anything as detailed back in the day, so it was exciting to see it.

WIP

My current work in progress is a Barbara Ana Design: Love Never Fails.

I started this back in October 2021. I am using the called for DMC floss on 32 ct Dirty Linen.

I am closing in on finishing the first half of it.

It's been a fun stitch and I love it.
